ABOUT CLAR
Clar (pronounced like Clark but without the 'k') is short for Clarisse (yes, like in The Silence of the Lambs). She was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia, graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Illustration, and is currently based in Brooklyn, New York. An illustrator, animator, and comic artist with a passion for narrative art, she draws inspiration from stories, nature, and wholesome people.
Outside of illustrations, animations, and comics, she could be found obsessing over food, lurking in random cafes, indulging in wine and cheese, or listening to true crime comedy podcasts.

Animator at HOLLER. Create custom animated stickers for branded campaigns as well as original characters and IP for messaging. Create and develop IP for animated series and shorts.
Design Intern at ABCYA.COM. Redesigned existing ABCya computer games with the guidance of the Design Team. Contributed to art critiques and brainstorming sessions of other games that are in progress.
Illustration & Animation Intern at BARE TREE MEDIA. Created a pack of animated messaging stickers to be distributed through various messaging and emoji apps through the studio. Contributed to the designs of stickers for various clients (e.g. Disney, M&Ms, Snap-on Tools.) Assisted in formatting digital files and animating existing designs.
In-House Illustrator and Animator at MESARACE - MESAACADEMY. Attended meetings with nutritionists and sports specialists to gather information on nutrition, and conveyed the information through illustrations and animations for the company’s YouTube Channel and social media.
